Along with grass turnout with also have three additional all-weather surface areas, primarily for turning out on during inclement weather. This has proven to be an essential part of our guests' day to day winter routine, meaning we achieve turnout for a ‘roll and a buck’ even when the weather is awful. As Fedw is also our family home we have furnished an 'owners' room and kitchen within the main barn so when you visit you can have refreshments and a place to relax without feeling that you are imposing on family life.
On the other side of the property we run the Fedw Equestrian Centre (FEC) and Dedicate A Tree. Here we have both an indoor and outdoor arena, round pen and cafe. To ensure serenity and biosecurity for our retired guests we keep both businesses separate but obviously owners are welcome to visit both sites.
Dedicate A Tree – Brecon Beacons
On the passing of each equine guest owners are offered to place to plant a tree on the farm. This gives owners a special place to remember and celebrate the life of their beloved pet, some even scattering ashes here.
On hearing about this, friends of the farm began to organically request trees to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and marriages.
And this is how Dedicate A Tree began……
Due to regulations and insurance requirements we do not transport horses ourselves. However, we can help you co-ordinate with our recommended transport firms for individual and shared loads.
